(DENR Caraga through the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee rewards deserving employees in recognition of their loyalty and commitment to government service during the "Araw ng Parangal" on December 15, 2022, at the DENR Regional Learning Center, Brgy. Ambago, Butuan City.

A total of 30 DENR Caraga employees were recognized during the ceremony, two (2) of which are posthumous awardees, 18 are loyalty awardees, and 10 are retirees. The retiring employees were recognized pursuant to CSC Memorandum Circular No. 07, series of 1998 through the “Salamat-Mabuhay!” Program.)

(DENR Caraga GAD Focal Point System Chairperson Regional Executive Director (RED) Nonito M. Tamayo graces the DENR-13 Children’s Fellowship held at the agency’s Covered Court, Barangay Ambago, Butuan City on December 13, 2022.

The fellowship which was part of the Year-end Assessment for the Gender and Development (GAD) Day Care and Drop-in Center, was facilitated by Regional GAD Focal Person Elsalyn J. Evangelio along with other members of the Regional GAD Focal Point System.

Twenty-two (22) enrolled learners/children of the Center participated in the activity.  Fifty-eight (58) other kids of DENR employees also joined the event, which included a series of games and children's presentations. The children likewise received gifts from their peers and RED Tamayo.

The DENR GAD Drop-in and Day Care Center serves as a facility to cater to its employees' (especially females) need to fulfill their responsibilities to their children while working in the office.)

As we celebrate the 2022 International Women’s Day, DENR Caraga Regional Gender and Development Focal System (RGADFPS) members attend the Annual Women’s Summit held in Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center, Butuan City on March 8, 2022, as part of the regional activities of this year’s National Women’s Month (NWM) celebration.

The summit, attended by empowered women from various national government agencies, private sectors, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders, served as an opportune time to celebrate women's cultural, political, and socio-economic achievements and their contribution to the nation's development.

The activity's success was through the efforts of the Caraga Regional Development Council's Regional Gender and Development Committee (CRDC - RGADC) to celebrate the endeavors of the women's sector.

For this year’s observance of NWM, DENR is celebrating with the theme “Women make change amidst climate crisis and Covid-19” to commend women’s capability and leadership in performing concrete, sustainable and inclusive actions toward responding to the challenges of climate change, disasters, and the pandemic.

DENR Caraga under the leadership of Regional Executive Director Nonito M. Tamayo conducts a series of activities as part of the kick-off for the celebration of the National Women's Month on March 1, 2022.

The Regional Strategic Communication and Initiatives Group (RSCIG) in partnership with the DENR Caraga Regional GAD Focal Point System, produced and distributed GAD IEC materials such as bookmarks, flyers, and t-shirts to community members and personnel. A live discussion on the celebration was also aired through the "Kasikas sa Kinaiyahan" Radio Program of the agency.

While some DENR personnel participates in the motorcade and opening program spearheaded by the Regional Gender and Development Council in Butuan City.

The DENR Caraga, under the leadership of Regional Executive Director Nonito M. Tamayo, joins the nation-wide observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) 2022 on November 25 to December 12, 2022, with the theme “United for a VAW Free Philippines.”

The theme aims to highlight the powerful impact of combining individual efforts towards a collaborative and united thrust towards a VAW-free Philippines.

The region’s kick-off activity for this year is a motorcade/parade dubbed as the "Orange your Vehicle" within Butuan City, which was participated by employees from various national government agencies, academe, and other stakeholders.

Right after the parade, a short program was held to impart the region’s milestones of the efforts to prevent and address the issues of VAW in Caraga at the open area within the Philippine Science High School - Caraga Region Campus in Tiniwisan, Butuan City where the attendees took their oath and vowed to support the government's campaign to end VAW as one of the highlights of the activity.

This year’s campaign also aims to gain insights as to where the country is, in understanding and acting on VAW. The major activities will endeavor to gauge the awareness of citizens on VAW and its forms and manifestations as well as underscore the gains attained in the journey towards a VAW-free community.##
