BUTUAN CITY – DENR provincial offices (PENROs) of Agusan del Norte and Surigao del Sur, including CENRO Bislig in Bislig Ciy, Surigao del Sur have changed their leaders following the four (4) consecutive turnover ceremonies which happened within a span of one week from March 5 to 12, 2021 within the DENR Caraga region,

Regional Executive Director Nonito M. Tamayo officiated all the turnover ceremonies.  The same were also witnessed by Assistant Regional Directors for Technical Services and Management Services Atty. Claudio A. Nistal, Jr. and Ben Ali B. Decampong, Al-Hadj, respectively, and other DENR Officials and personnel of the concerned offices.

Earlier this month RED Tamayo issued Regional Special Order No. 2021-075 reassigning some field officials following the mandatory retirement of PENRO Rosendo A. Asunto from government at the age of 65. PENRO Asunto relinquished his duties and responsibilities as PENR Officer of Agusan del Norte to PENRO Achilles Anthony C. Ebron on March 5, 2021.

Subsequently, PENRO Ebron’s post as PENRO of Surigao del Sur was replaced by the former CENRO of Bislig, OIC-PENRO Victor B. Sabornido in another turnover ceremony held at the PENR Office in Tandag City on March 11, 2021.  The next day, March 12, 2021, Sabornido turned-over the leadership of CENRO Bislig to incoming OIC-CENRO Nathaniel E. Racho.

Meanwhile, Racho, who was the former Chief of the Technical Services Division of the PENR Office of the Province of Dinagat Islands (PDI), turned-over his duties and responsibilities to Development Management Officer (DMO) III Geoffrey R. Padullon in another ceremony held at the Training Center of PENRO PDI on March 10, 2021 with the presence of PENRO Agapito T. Patubo.  RED Tamayo, with ARD Atty. Nistal, Jr. and ARD Decampong attended the activity via video conferencing system.
