DENR Caraga headed by Regional Executive Director (RED) Nonito M. Tamayo conducts the 5th batch of Basic Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) Course Seminar on May 24-28, 31 and June 1, 2021 at the DENR Regional Learning Center, Ambago, Butuan City.

The activity is in line with Secretary Roy A. Cimatu’s directive to continually strengthen the public service in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic. The learning activity is designed to effectively direct and advocate the department’s priority programs, projects, and activities.

“I want all personnel to attend this seminar so that everybody will be given the chance to really participate and harness their talents,” RED Tamayo said as he gave his message to the participants. He added, “For the next seven (7) days medyo pilay ang office natin because you are all here, pero okay lang yan kasi we expect that you'll gain more after this.”

Twenty-six (26) personnel attended the activity that aims to demonstrate technical competencies to support and enforce ENR laws. The activity shall equip employees with knowledge on ENR laws, accountability in public service, service excellence, the government’s visions and aspirations, protocols, and personality development.

The ENR Basic Course is the second track of the ENR Academy among the four (4) other courses which includes Frontline, Supervisory, Managerial and Executive. It is a 7-day learning and development program with community engagement for employees holding positions with salary grades 11-15.

Also present during the opening ceremony was OIC, Assistant Regional Director for Management Services Maritess M. Ocampo.

Proper health protocols were observed during the activity.
