One of the program priorities of the LMB is the fast tracking of the cadastral survey project in the country. The program is instrumental in efficient patent distribution and accelerating countryside development.
Cadastral Survey involves the survey of the whole municipality/city for the purpose of identifying and delineating the individual claims of all land owners and claimants which will be the basis for the issuance of titles or patents and other purposes. Below is the Summary of Approved Cadastral Cases as of 2011.

Philippine Reference System of 1992 (PRS´92) as the NEW Reference System on Land Survey in the Philippines
PRS´92 is one of the top priority activities of the DENR and is provided for in the Medium Term Philippine Development Plan for FY 2006-2010.
Last May 9, 2007, a Memorandum of Agreement which pertained to the conduct of PRS’92 project was signed between DENR Caraga and NAMRIA. It implemented the adoption of the PRS’92 as the standard reference system of the country and has five

         (5) major components, namely:
               a) geodetic network development
               b) data integration
               c) geodetic network information system and ICT support
               d) information, education and communication campaign and
               e) project management.

Densification of PRS´92 3rd & 4th order—the conduct of satellite- based surveying using GPS instrument to established new geodetic control network known as PRS’92 as standard reference for all surveying and mapping activities in the country.

ISOLATED LAND SURVEY PROFILE
This activity involves the conduct of surveys of all alienable and disposable lands of the public domain in support of the titling component of our DENR-CARP programs.
Public Land Survey which covers both residential and agricultural land are being executed by administration and by contract. The survey is being conducted by a licensed geodetic engineer as team leader of a survey team. The result of the survey will establish permanent boundary of lot of individual beneficiaries. It enhances security of tenure and hastens boundary conflicts and development of records for geographic spatial framework. The output of this activity is the Region’s potential for patent issuance.

The “Handog Titulo” Program provided socio-economic changes in the life of our beneficiaries. The issuance of these patents has afforded them the following:
            1. Provided security of tenure over the land they occupy.
            2. Opportunities to generate capital or financial resources from lending institutions to finance macro or micro business/investment/livelihood projects.
            3. Reduce government expenditures for land conflict resolutions.
            4. Enhanced revenue generation/collection which in turn would enable government to provide better services  to the public.
Handog Titulo Programs were also conducted throughout all the PENROs and CENROs in coordination with LGUs and the concerned Register of Deeds. This is in keeping with the commitment of the DENR to bring its services closer to the Filipino masses.
