LAND MANAGEMENT SERVICES
The Department has responsibility over alienable or disposable lands of the public domain and lands outside the responsibility of other agencies, such as reclaimed areas and commercial, industrial, and other urban properties.
It is tasked to survey, classify, manage, and administer the disposition of these lands. Surveys of private institutions and individuals over these lands are inspected, monitored, and approved.

Disposition is done through leasehold, direct sale, and issuance of patents while cases arising from conflicts are investigated and adjudicated through the regulatory functions exercised by the regional offices.
