WELCOME REMARKS FROM THE
GOVERNOR OF AGUSAN DEL NORTE
Governor: Angel Amante represented by Vice-Governor Roberto S. Tejano, Jr.

Vice-Governor Tejano said that of all the Department Heads it was only this time that he met a Visayan Secretary. He acknowledged the presence of all the guests and delegates and informed them that the Governor could not personally render her message due to a caucus affecting all government officials of the country.

He praised the excellent performance of DENR Caraga officials from region, province and city, as well as the fair treatment of RED Tumaliuan to all Butuanon and Agusanon, which is needed from national government officials.

He manifested the interest of the LGU of Agusan del Norte to manage NALCO area and asked on the complete/common/official stand of DENR over the area.

He said that awarding of lands/tenurial instrument is not enough to make a difference to the lives of our IP brothers and sisters since they still need financing to develop their land, hence, he encouraged DENR to forge partnership with other national agencies so that during the giving/awarding of titles/tenurial instrument, financial requirement to develop the area could also be arranged. He also mentioned the tedious process of acquiring land titles.

Lastly, he warmly welcomed all guests and delegates of the management conference and invited all participants to roam around the province of Agusan del Norte.
