The Corridor Project Management Unit of Eastern Mindanao Biodiversity Corridor (EMBC) is launching its campaign materials for the Integrated Approach in the Management of Biodiversity Corridor in the Philippines in support to the 2023 International Day for Biodiversity at the Mid-Year Assessment and Planning Workshop of BD Corridor Project on May 21, 2023, in Estancia Resort Hotel, Tagaytay City, Philippines.

TurnOver of Officials

Four offices within the DENR Caraga have their new leaders following the issuance of a Regional Special Order (RSO) No. 329 dated May 8, 2023, by Regional Executive Director (RED) Nonito M. Tamayo.

The vacuum created by the retirement of PENRO Achilles Anthony C. Ebron of Agusan del Norte, effective May 10, 2023, has prompted RED Tamayo to issue the order of reassignment of his field officers.

The newly reassigned officers who were installed and subsequently took their oath before RED Tamayo in a simple ceremony held at the Conference Hall of the PENR Office in Tiniwisan, Agusan del Norte on May 12, 2023, were OIC-PENRO Joseph Leo E. Oconer for PENRO Agusan del Norte replacing the retired PENRO Ebron; OIC- CENRO Nelson B. Caranzo of CENRO Nasipit; OIC-CENRO Hernan P. Ramirez of CENRO Tubay; DMO IV Romel B. Arbolonio as OIC-Chief of the Enforcement Division, replacing the former chief, DMO IV Hernan P. Ramirez.

Witnessing the event were Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Maritess M. Ocampo, other DENR Officials, and staff and personnel of PENRO Agusan del Norte.

DENR Caraga successfully conducted two batches of Gender Sensitivity Trainings on March 30 and 31, 2023 at the DENR Regional Learning Center in Brgy. Ambago, Butuan City. This was attended by 40 participants from the regional and field offices.

The two-day training seeks to heighten the awareness of DENR Caraga employees on gender issues and concerns; and to increase their understanding on the basic concept of gender and sex, gender stereotypes, gender equity and equality, gender discrimination, and sexual harassment at the workplace.
