DENR 13 holds 1st SIBOL management committee meeting

DENR Caraga holds the 1^st Regional Project Management Committee (RPMC) meeting for the Sustainable Interventions for Biodiversity, Oceans, and Landscapes (SIBOL) Project at the DENR Caraga Regional Training Center in Barangay Ambago, Butuan City on September 27, 2022.

The meeting, presided by Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Maritess M. Ocampo, was attended by the nine (9) RPMC members per DENR Special Order No. 2021-664 on the “Creation of the Project Steering Committee (PSC), National Project Coordinating Unit (NPCU), and RPMC for the Philippines SIBOL Project” together with the technical personnel from the Regional Office, PENRO Surigao del Norte, and SIBOL team leaders.

SIBOL is a 5-year (June 1, 2020 to June 30, 2025) project under USAID cooperative agreement. The project is working with the Philippine government to achieve the goals of improving natural resource governance, stimulating public and private sector investments and reducing environmental crimes – leading to greater economic stability and inclusive green growth.
