DENR Caraga Regional Office headed by Regional Executive Director Nonito M. Tamayo, CESO III, receives Safety Seal Certification on August 23, 2021 at the Office of the RED in Brgy. Ambago, Butuan City.

A thorough inspection was conducted by the validating team composed of Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) - Butuan, Local Government Operations Officer VI Marissa M. Mones; Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) Police Executive Master Sergeant Winfel Villaruel; and Bureau of Fire Protection - Butuan, Senior Fire Officer I Alexander Gilo before awarding the safety seal to RED Tamayo.

The activity was witnessed by Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Maritess Ocampo, DMO III Samuel Malayao, Assistant Division Chief of the Admin Division Jacqueline Gozo, and Admin Staff Julie Montalban.

The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme that affirms that an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government and uses or integrates its contact tracing with staysafe.ph.

It is an inter-agency effort among the DILG, Department of Health (DOH), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Tourism (DOT), and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) which grants establishments a Safety Seal to be conspicuously displayed indicating that the building or establishment they are entering is compliant to health protocols against Covid-19.
