HOG-Manila’s “The Great Lakes of PH Motorcycle Adventure” visits Lake Mainit

The Harley Owners Group - Manila Chapter's "The Great Lakes of PH Motorcycle Adventure," headed by its Director Rizalino Roxas, made a stop in the fourth largest lake in the country – the Lake Mainit in Surigao del Norte on October 12, 2022, as part of their 17-day adventure to the great lakes of South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The technical staff from PENRO Surigao del Norte oriented the bikers on the salient features of the lake.

Lake Mainit is the second largest lake in Mindanao, having a surface area of 115,353.8 hectares. It is the deepest lake in the country and home to different endemic and threatened flora and fauna species. It is also one of the monitoring areas for migratory birds in the Philippines.

The "Great Lakes of the Philippines Motorcycle Adventure" aims to promote motorcycle tourism highlighting the great lakes of the Philippines as a destination for local and international tourists. It also seeks to promote awareness on lake protection and conservation.
