The Caraga Regional Development Council (RDC) approved the declaration of the region's Regional Development Plan Day through Resolution No. 57 series of 2023.

The designation holds significant historical and symbolic importance in the region's pursuit of its developmental goals. It aims to unite stakeholders collectively to realize the aspirations enshrined in the Caraga Regional Development Plan for 2023-2028.

To show support, DENR Caraga officials and personnel wear the designated pink polo shirt every Thursday of each week.
