In line with the 2024 World Wildlife Day Celebration with the theme “Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation”, PENRO Agusan del Norte successfully paid a visit to the Regional Wildlife Rescue Center (RWRC) located at Sitio Little Baguio, Lantawan Eco-Park, Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte on March 4, 2024.

During the visit, a short program was initiated to emphasize to the attendees the essence of the annual celebration every 3rd day of March, highlighting the importance of the protection and conservation of wildlife species of flora and fauna. After the program, a clean-up activity and monitoring of the rehabilitated wildlife species within the rescue center ensued.

Joining the activity were CENRO Tubay technical personnel headed by OIC, CENR Officer Hernan P. Ramirez; the invited partner stakeholder, LGU of Kitcharao headed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Jenry E. Montante together with his Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer; and PENRO Agusan del Norte personnel led by PENR Officer Joseph Leo E. Oconer.
