DENR-BMB rolled out Wildlife Agency and Citizen Law Enforcement Reporting Tool or WildALERT System in Caraga Region on July 6-7, 2022 at Oazis Hotel, Butuan City.

WildALERT is a module application that serves as a library of flora and fauna species for easy reference of users and aims to help DENR personnel and law enforcement partners identify and report wildlife crimes.

More than 50 BMB representatives and DENR Caraga personnel from the Regional Office and field offices participated in the activity.

DENR Caraga thanked everyone who participated and supported the Nationwide Tree Planting Activity in partnership with the Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) and in line with the celebration of the 2022 Philippine Arbor Day!

Arbor Day is celebrated every 25th day of June all throughout the nation by planting trees. The activity aims to promote a healthier ecosystem for the people and the rehabilitation and re-greening of the environment.

DENR Caraga, spearheaded by Regional Executive Director (RED) Nonito M. Tamayo held its second Regional Management Conference for CY 2022 on June 20, 2022 at the Pavilion, Watergate, Butuan City.

The two-day activity is graced by Assistant Regional Director Ma. Theresa J. Allen of Region 10, representing Assistant Secretary for Field Operations-Eastern Mindanao Ruth M. Tawantawan.

Participants in the conference were top officials of DENR Caraga: the Assistant Regional Directors, PENR and CENR Officers, Division Chiefs, Planning Officers, and other officials.

The conference is designed to determine the delivery units' compliance with their assigned targets and to check if they are doing things as scheduled. The activity also served as a venue to discuss issues and concerns regarding the implementation of the agency's programs, projects, and activities.

DENR Caraga in partnership with Agusan National High School (ANHS) Social Studies Teachers and officers of the Social Studies Club conducted the "Go Green Project," a Tree Planting Activity in line with the upcoming celebration of the Philippine Arbor Day at the ANHS Forest Park in Brgy. Doongan, Butuan City on June 17, 2022.

A total of 41 participants composed of Development Management Officer V and Regional National Greening Program Coordinator Luis P. Gonzaga; DENR Caraga Regional Youth Desk Officer and Communications Development Officer II Maria Catherine M. Gonzaga; ANHS Department Head Dr. Marina B. Sanguenza; Principal IV Dennis Roa; Grade 10 Subject Chairperson and Tree Planting Coordinator Janice C. Paradiang; and other ANHS faculty members and students joined the activity and planted a total of 80 seedlings.
