PAMO SIPLAS personnel welcomes USec Teh, DENR Climate Change Service and Gender and Development Office Director Elenida Del Rosario-Basug, personnel from the Central Office, Regional Office, and PENRO Surigao del Norte.

The first day of the teamโ€™s visit started with a short briefing spearheaded by Protected Area Superintendent Celsa Espadero followed by a site visit at the Protected Area Management Office of SIPLAS in Dapa and the proposed relocation site in Brgy. Del Carmen (Pob.), Municipality of Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte.

The team also visited some mangrove areas within the island, particularly, the Del Carmen Mangrove Eco-Park and the mangrove beach forest in Brgy. Talisay, Municipality of San Benito to assess the impacts of Typhoon Odette in communities with close proximity to mangrove areas.

DENR Caraga conducts Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission Inventory/Monitoring Workshop on March 3-4, 2022 at the Regional Learning Center, Ambago, Butuan City.

The workshop aims to capacitate DENR GHG Focal Persons region-wide on computing emissions through the gathered data from respective offices and how much emission is contributed by every DENR office.

The activity was attended by personnel from the regional office, Environmental Management Bureau, and Mines and Geosciences Bureau.

DENR Caraga under the leadership of Regional Executive Director Nonito M. Tamayo conducts a series of activities as part of the kick-off for the celebration of the National Women's Month on March 1, 2022.

The Regional Strategic Communication and Initiatives Group (RSCIG) in partnership with the DENR Caraga Regional GAD Focal Point System, produced and distributed GAD IEC materials such as bookmarks, flyers, and t-shirts to community members and personnel. A live discussion on the celebration was also aired through the "Kasikas sa Kinaiyahan" Radio Program of the agency while some DENR personnel participated in the motorcade and opening program spearheaded by the Regional Gender and Development Council in Butuan City.

This ten-wheeler truck, loaded with some 7,000.00 bd.ft. of confiscated lumber for donation of DENR Caraga to the Province of Dinagat Islands, waits to be transported to its destination for the reconstruction of the infrastructures damaged by typhoon Odette.

With the guidance of Director Nonito M. Tamayo, DENR Caraga employees pack relief goods for transport to Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Islands, as the agency continues with its relief operations for those affected by typhoon Odette, especially the DENR personnel who are victims of the calamity.
